Single Weave In ancient Greek Mythology there were three sisters with a single eye, what were they called?
Hello. I've always had a fascination with Greek Mythology and i've recently started reading the Percy Jackson and the Olympians books. I am on book 2 The Sea of Monsters and just read chapter two. In the book Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson are in a cab with three drivers, they each share a single eye. I don't think they are the furies since the furies are the three sisters who weave the treads of fate. Can anyone refresh my memory as to who these three are or direct me to some literature. Thanks.
The Graeae ("grey ones"): Deino ("dread"), Enyo ("horror") and Pemphredo ("alarm")
They were daughters of the primordial deities Phorcys ("The Old Man of the Sea") and Ceto, making them sisters to the Gorgons, Echinda (the mother of a number of monsters, including Cerberus, the Hydra, and the Chimera), and the dragon Ladon.
Seriously, wtf? Phorcys and Ceto should have just stopped having children. Something was seriously wrong with them.

Do you have a job that you have to look nice for every single day?
I really care about my appearance..but ever since i started working at a casino (cocktail server)..i find it hard to "look pretty" every single day..and i am petite but a bit curvy then the other girls..and on top of everything else..i have african-american hair (and i am sure others can sympathize with me)my hair doesn't do what i want it to do every single day...so i am think i might have to buy wigs and weaves because i think using heat tools will be to harsh on my hair every day.....are there any tips to make getting ready for work easier and the mornings..i am starting too dread going to work in the mornings even though i like my job...help!
I have curly hair, and I can sympathize with trying to look professional (I have to look professional, and find it hard to make my hair comply a lot of the time). I would suggest making sure you keep your hair well-moisturized, and also, if at all possible, shelling out for a visit with a good, highly trained stylist. Try to find one who has extensive experience in your hair type--they can help you find a style that works for you.
Also, try concentrating on the parts of your look that you can control. I'm not much for makeup, myself (except for lipstick), but if you are, that's one thing you could do. You could make sure to pay special attention to your clothing--try to find clothing that really flatters your body. Take some friends along the next time you go shopping--I bet they'd love to help you find some great new clothes. Picking out some nice jewelry (doesn't have to be expensive, just stuff you think makes you look good) could also help.
As for making getting ready in the morning easier...I always like to pick out everything I'm going to wear the next day (suit, blouse, shoes, etc) the night before, and lay it all out in a central location. I also like to pack my briefcase the night before and lay it close to my clothing and shoes, and I put on any jewelry I plan to wear before I get into bed, and put my lipstick, hair spray, etc in a central location near the mirror. I also showever in the evenings. That way, all I have to do in the morning when I get up is spritz my hair with some water and spray to revive and style it, swipe on some lipstick, put on my clothes, grab my stuff, and go!
