The first part of the syllabus you will be taught is long form 1 on both sides, commonly known as a power form, which is no more than an extension of short form 1 from the yellow belt syllabus.  It introduces you to a forward bow stance simultaneously with a right straight trust punch to your opponent as you settle your weight in behind your strike. It also teaches you how to retreat simultaneously as you intercept your opponent.  Now using the angles on the clock in conjunction with your peripheral vision you can observe your surroundings and improve your ability to deal with mass attacks.
The next part of the blue belt syllabus you will be taught is stance set 1. This will teach you several stances such as a forward bow, a reverse bow, in place twist stance, to name but a few, to improve your flexibility and balance in order to move with ease in any giving situation.

The next part of the blue belt syllabus that you will be taught are the 24 Self-defense techniques consisting of such attacks, as a two handed grab from the front, a full nelson from behind, a figure four lock to you right wrist, a double lapel grab, a side kick, a figure four choke from behind, and many more that you will enjoy learning.
 You will now move on to the next part of the syllabus and be taught Eagle set 1 that consists of several weapons, that you can add to your weapons arsenal to be used in combat if the need arises.  Such as right and left horizontal half fist, a right and left vertical mid knuckle strike, a front right and left diagonal uppercut, eagle claw strikes, tiger claw strikes, and elbow strikes, hand sword strikes, and more eagle set 1 will improve your speed and accuracy. 

The last part of the syllabus on the blue belt that you will be taught is the freestyle sparring  Self Defence techniques, this is a combination of foot manoeuvres hand and kicking techniques used in a stationary position, these techniques will also teach you how to close the gap between you and your opponent and improve your fighting ability.  Freestyle sparring is divided into two categories tournament and street fighting techniques, in tournament you have rules but on the street there is no such thing as rules.

To be successful in any subject you need to have an open mind and study under a good teacher who also has an open mind and ready to modify at any given time.

Where could I find Ninja or some type of martial art print fabric?

I am wanting to make a pillow case with ninjas (not teenage mutant ninja turtles though) or martial art fabric however i am having a hard time finding any online or in any nearby fabric stores.

I have been hunting to see if I could find something that may be on a t-shirt but no luck. the only thing I can suggest is getting a free download of the figures and you can get stuff for your computer that can have you put it on fabric. It will be a picture but not all over the fabric unless you have a way of doing that.

What do you do when you're in a combat plight? Do you cry, run away, or strike back? You don't have to possess strength to defeat your antagonist. All you need to do is to learn the basics in mixed martial arts applications and you're ready to defend yourself, if you desire to. To be able to perform the different methods involved in your chosen fighting system, you should have all the correct gear; it always begins with the fightwear you have.

The fightwear used in the different schools of martial arts differs. If you're into traditional forms of martial arts, you will need to have your own belts, trousers, and jackets. There are a number of variations depending on the martial art.

The gi top used by Judo students are tough and lasting cotton fabric because players tug on the gi to postion their competitor off-balance. The gi bottoms should be above the judoka's ankles so that the foot positions are not impeded.

Belts are made from strong cotton and to make it hardy, it should be double stitched. The skill level of the student is shown by the belt's color.

In karate, the jacket should be lighter and durable to add to comfort. Because the training consists of long sessions, the jacket's pure cotton material can soak up the sweat or perspiration.

Trousers should be robust so that they don't rip or get torn easily. The trousers come with drawstrings. The material for the belt should be thick cotton and its color should be appropriate to the skill level of the student.

All types of martial arts have their own fightwear. Ask your teacher about it. You need to wear correct clothing so that you can fight with ease.

If you want to learn about MMA the right way, you should first purchase the proper fightwear and other equipment. You should know how to pick the proper clothing for a certain fighting system or form of martial art. How do you for your mixed martial arts clothing. This is a very basic thing to do. Some martial arts classes already provide the clothing but you need to pay a minimal fee for it.

There are also ready made martial arts clothing sold in online stores and in local stores. Search the internet to find the proper MMA clothing or you can shop locally. Ask the salesperson where you can find such clothing.

The Elements of Martial Arts Training

Martial arts training and self defense tactics are comprised of three essential elements. These universals apply to everyone, male or female, young or old. They are relevant whether you study close combat training styles or competitive sport styles.

Total Awareness

You need to be self-aware and aware of your surroundings at every moment. Even if you are just walking down the street or walking through the parking lot to your car, keep these things in mind and you will be able to prevent a confrontation before it ever begins:

Look around. Keep your head up, your eyes open, and your hands free.

Check out the terrain. Is the sidewalk even? Are the potholes or other obstacles on the pavement?

Is the area remote? Are there other people around?

Is the neighborhood populated with residential homes and business or vacant lots and abandoned buildings?

Are your doors locked? Is the area well let? Are you distracted by your cell phone or looking for your keys?

Can you hear what's going on around you? Turn your iPod off and listen for other voices or footsteps.

Skills and Abilities You Need

Despite your best efforts to keep yourself from becoming a target, there may come a time when you will have no choice but to act. You can only act if you have been trained in self defense tactics. The kind of instruction you receive will determine your ability to protect yourself. You have several choices when it comes to self defense or martial arts training.

One-day and short-term courses can teach you valuable skills in a short amount of time. However, it might be a good idea to repeat these courses or go over the elements of the instruction from time to time as it can be easy to forget the techniques and maneuvers you learn in such a brief period.

Attitude in Self Defense

Your attitude may be the most important part of your self defense plan. If you live as though you are immune to violent situations, you could be caught by surprise - compete unprepared for the world's dangers. While no one expects you to live in constant fear, you can have some assurance that you could handle yourself in the event that someone did try to cause you physical harm.

As you continue with martial arts training, you will notice that your attitude changes, your awareness is sharpened, and your skills and abilities constantly improve. For most people who dedicate themselves to training, these three elements become second nature, and they are able to act quickly the moment danger strikes.

Self defense training is not about learning how to harm someone else. The goal of training is always to equip students with the tools they need to protect themselves from physical harm.

A Japanese Martial Art-judo

Judo, meaning "gentle way", is a modern Japanese martial art and combat sport, that originated in Japan in the late nineteenth century. Its most prominent feature is its competitive element, where the object is to either throw one's opponent to the ground, immobilize or otherwise subdue one's opponent with a grappling maneuver, or force an opponent to submit by joint locking the elbow or by applying a choke. Strikes and thrusts (by hands and feet) - as well as weapons defences - are a part of judo, but only in pre-arranged forms (kata) and are not allowed in judo competition or free practice. While throwing opponents to the floor wins most matches, it is the only Olympic sport where submission holds allow choking an opponent or breaking an arm.

The Judo Rank System
 Judo created the system of ranks, now used in most other martial arts, that recognize a person's degree of knowledge, ability, and leadership. There are separate ranks for juniors (under 17) and seniors. Judo ranks are identified by colored belts, and ten degrees of advanced grades for black belts. Regular advancement encourages students to achieve more.

Principles and Goals of Judo
 The principles of Judo, such as "Maximum Efficiency" and "Mutual Welfare and Benefit", can also be used in our dealings with others in life. The ultimate goal in Judo is to develop oneself to the maximum extent possible, always striving for perfection, so that you can contribute something of value to the world.

Judo as a Sport
 In 1964, Judo became the first martial art to be sanctioned as a medal sport in the Olympic Games. Judo competitions are also held throughout the world. Points are awarded for throwing an opponent, holding an opponent on his back while on the mat for a designated amount of time, or forcing an opponent to submit via "tapping out" to an armlock or choke or rendering the opponent unconscious with a choke. A match is won with a "perfect throw" called an Ippon, two near perfect throws called Wazari, holding an opponent on his back on the mat for 25 seconds, a combination of one Wazari and holding an opponent down for 20 seconds, or submitting an opponent with a choke or armlock. Members of the Notre Dame Judo Club are registered as amateur athletes in the State of Indiana through the state judo governing body, Indiana Judo Inc. Members are offered frequent opportunities to compete. However, competition is not necessary for membership in the club.
