How can I tell if my insurance is a PPO or HMO?
The insurance coverage is under my step-dad who is out of the country and I don't speak to much, we are still waiting for the insurance to kick it at his new job...
It is Blue Cross Blue Sheild, is there an easy way to tell if it's an HMO or PPO based on his employment?
It is based upon the contract.
One contract can allow for a choice between the two. You are going to have to contact the company that offers the coverage. Baring that, contact one of the providers, offering the insurance number. The number can be checked, and the provider will be able to inform you of HMO or PPO protection.

right skateboard?
i have no idea about skateboarding but i want to learn it.
i recently bought a skateboard with these stats:
Karnage Gravel Skateboard
- 31 x 8'' Multi-ply, double kick trickster deck
- street wise all -alloy trucks with hex pin
- single sheild 608Z velocity bearings
- 50 x 36mm street performance, urban terrain wheels
did i get the right skateboard for a beginner?

No you did not. You seem to have purchased a "toys r us" type skateboard, and im going to guess for $20-40?
If so, then you got a crap board. And you may say youre a beginner, you dont need the best, but you got yourself a bad piece of wood on wheels. When i was young and starting riding, i also bought myself one of these boards. After 2 weeks, i went out and got a real skateboard, and there is a huge difference. Youre basically learning to drive a semi-rig truck, by riding a mini cooper. Meaning big difference?

and buy basically any complete skateboard you like there. they are a GREAT store for skateboarding and snowboarding with high quality stuff.
